3D Printing for Dental Laboratories

Our laboratory provides resin dental 3D printing services for dental laboratories and practices, producing study models, surgical guides, custom impression trays and other digital components from digital files.

Cases are submitted online and returned promptly.

Digital Manufacturing at Simcast

Resin 3D printing complements our metal specialist production, allowing us to offer a complete digital production service.

We accept files from a wide range of intraoral and desktop scanner systems and from dental CAD software.

Model wax-ups

Accurate printed study models are suitable for treatment planning, articulation and patient communication. They can be reproduced at any time from the original digital file.

Surgical guides

We produce implant surgical guides from digital files generated by planning software, covering single-unit, multi-unit cases and fully guided implant placement.

Occlusal devices

Custom impression trays, occlusal appliances and bite registration devices can be digitally designed and printed in appropriate resin materials.

Submitting Digital Cases

Upload digital files using the Send Files page, including the completed lab sheet with prescription details. We confirm receipt and return finished items promptly.

If you are unsure whether your scanner or software format is compatible, contact us before submitting.

STL is the primary format. PLY, OBJ and DCM files are also accepted.
