New Dentures

Simcast produces full and partial dentures for patients directly at our laboratory in Christchurch.
We can take impressions at the laboratory and manufacture and fit dentures in many cases without the need to visit a dentist. We produce acrylic dentures, chrome cobalt partial dentures and immediate dentures.

Types of Denture We Produce

Our technicians make dentures for patients who have lost some or all of their natural teeth, using materials and designs appropriate to each clinical situation.

Full dentures

Full dentures replace all the teeth in an arch and are supported by the gum tissue. We produce them from a series of impressions and bite records.
A trial denture stage allows you to check the appearance and fit before the final denture is processed.

Partial dentures

Partial dentures replace some of the teeth while the remaining natural teeth provide support and retention. We produce both acrylic partial dentures and cobalt chrome partial frameworks.
Chrome cobalt is the preferred material when rigidity, precise fit and minimal palatal coverage are priorities.

Flexy dentures

Flexy dentures are made from a flexible material that adapts to the natural shape of the gums. They are often used as an alternative to traditional acrylic partial dentures. The material allows the denture to sit securely without metal clasps, improving comfort and appearance.

Immediate dentures

Immediate dentures are fitted on the day of tooth extraction. They are prepared in advance from impressions taken before the teeth are removed, so the patient does not need to go without teeth during the healing period.

The Process

Producing a denture involves a series of appointments: taking impressions, recording the bite, trying in a wax trial and fitting the completed prosthetic.

The number of appointments depends on the type of denture and the complexity of the case.

Quality and Materials

All dentures are produced by our qualified and registered technicians using dental-grade acrylic and cobalt chrome alloy.

Every denture is checked for fit and finish before leaving the laboratory.
